Well, it has been forever since i have posted here in the forums. Ever since i moved back to College Station (yes that is a real town for all the non-Texans or non-Aggies), I haven't had the time to spend on my car like i did in the summer. Actually, i wouldn't say that it isnt the time i lack but the shade. There is absolutely no shade in my driveway so i have to wait till 5pm or so to wash my car when i have that opportunity and i dont get to give it the full treatment. It really makes me said. It is almost like i have a **** load of products that aren't being put to good use. It needs a wax job big time. I am thinking that I am going to try out the Dual Action Polisher my dad and i bought before i left to college when i go back to san antonio next week to have my car speakers i am getting for XMAS installed. If i remember, i will try to do the whole before and after bit.
But i must tell ya, it is tough to see my car look like ****. It rains here a lot more than it did in San Antonio. And with the luck i have had, I wash my car and it rains within the next two days. SIGH.
In other news, I managed to make my friend love his car again. Since we both had the day off from work, we decided it was a good day to clean up our cars. Needless to say, his was a disaster compared to mine. The interior was freakin filthy. Caked on dirt on arm rests, plastic, and carpet. Halfway through working on it i realized i should have taken pictures but oh well. It was frustrating helping him because i would start cleaning something and show him how so he could do the other side, and when i inspected his side, i basically had to go over again. That APC is the GREATEST stuff in my toolkit. I had him loving his car again by the time i was done with it. And he said he wasnt gonna let his brother or anyone else trash his car anymore. GOOD FOR HIM!
Well, that was my little tidbit for now. We still need a Detail Day in TEXAS but i will just have to keep hoping on that =P
PS - Anyone from College Station or near it?
Also, I played with Photoshop the other day and made a REAL nice photo of my car...Then i realized i need to take the picture again out in the open with no HOUSE in the background...but it has POTENTIAL!
Lemme know what you think. I am planning on getting a good wax job done then taking the same picture, having it blown up to about 4 ft long, and framing it for my wall in my room. Good or bad idea? Picture no good?
