Greetings and salutations everyone.

I have a question about tire care. I have purchased in the past tire and rim cleaner and a stiff brush to clean and prepare the tire for a good application of dressing.

Any tips that you have to make the process more fulfilling and to have the tire dressing last longer (as in a product reccomendation)

Well, first off ....GO HABS Now as far as tires are concerned,I use Meguiars Endurance exclusively. Apply evenly... wait 15 minutes.... wipe off excess to prevent 'slinging'. Lasts a lot longer than most others.

From your wording, it sounds like you're looking for advice on how to make sure the tire is clean and prepped to accept a dressing, right? If so...

I've tried APC, APC+ at various ratios and while they do an okay job on the tires, the tires still dry with less than desirable results. My agitation is usually a stiff brush or pressure washer after letting the product dwell on the tire for about 5 minutes. What I have found to really work is a degreaser product. I dilute it 10:1 and after initial spray you can already see the brown running off of the tire. Though it should be harmless at 10:1; be careful about letting any degreasers dwell on aluminum rims, I heard the two don't play well together. It's best to avoid overspray where possible. If the tire has white letters or whitewalls, I'll use Wesley's Bleche-White, which is amazing but potent.
