I own a PC. I was thinking of upgrading to a Flex XC 3401 for a litle more power. I was also thinking that it would be nice to have a smaller tool like a Griots with 3" pads but like some of us can't afford both at once. Is there a smaller backing plate for the Flex that I could step down to smaller pads? All thoughts and answers welcome.

    Thanks, Jeff

Do you detail a lot of other cars, other than you own? If so, the Flex will be right up your alley. If not, Skip the 3" Griots and look into the New G110v2, or newest Griots DA(LOTS of power!). With a NEW generation DA, you will be able to switch between ALL the different sizes of pads, as long as you buy the correct sized backing plates.

I really like my Flex DA, but if I only was able to have one machine, it would be a powerful DA.

Is that one of the old PC's or is it the XP? The Flex would be a MAJOR improvement over the old PC and still a big improvement over the XP.

For the Flex to use smaller pads you would have to get the Edge adapter and pads.
