Most CF hood I see, they are either faded or yellowed. To prevent this I would wax it regularly and keep it clean.

Yeah, detailing it regularly with the rest of your would be best.

      Wash
      Clay
      Clean
      Polish
      Wax

Keeping it clean and waxed should be enough. Car cover can't hurt but probably isn't necessary.

Find out if the hood has a UV inhibiting clear coat on it or not. If the hood is intended to be painted then it most likely does not and it will yellow over time, almost regardless of what you use to maintain it.

If it does not have a UV inhibiting clear coat on it, take it to a few body shops and get some quotes on what it would cost to have this applied.
