  • Need some good advice!

My Girlfriend has a 2003 Hyundai Accent....pretty much a tin can on wheels. No offense to anyone who owns one...but hers is not well maintaned at all. She has some scratches I believe that are from taking a broom and wiping snow off her car. I also believe she used one of those scrapers too. I know some of the deep ones I won't get out, but she saw my car and now wants me to detail hers. I don't think her car has ever seen wax and only taken to an automatic car wash every once and a while. Here is what I was thinking...

    Wash
    Clay
M105 - With a orange or white lake country pad ( I will start with white)
M205 - With a white lake country pad
    Wax - NXT Tech 2.0

Does anyone have any other suggestion? Does this seem like a good process? Anyone have experience with the lake country Orange, white, or green pads? Any help or advice is much appreciated.

    Thank you.

Dont go straight to M105 and M205, try UC first as it may do the job for ya. Remember always go from the least aggresive product to the most aggresive one.

Then you might want to do a final pass with M205 for supreme shine and micro marring removal

Have fun while detailing thats for sure.

Go for a Green LC pad for the UC and the white pad for the 205 and then (optional) M205 with a Blue pad

So the Green Pad is a heavier cut than the white pad? I have the Green Beveled Edge Heavy Polishing Pad.

          Thanks again!

Yes the green LC pad has a heavier cut than the white pad. Its used to remove defects and swirls. And you can use the white to polish the paint with 205 or M83 etc...
            Hope i helped in something

Detailing its like when your cooking. If you cook with love then the food is gonna taste awsome, so it is with detailing. Enjoy the time you spend on a car, Make it your own goal for the day.. and at the end of it you will see what fruit you harvested during a whole day.
