For the exterior metal trim, grille, badges, logos, exhaust, etc. do you guys just use wax like NXT 2.0 to bring out the shine or do you use something like the Hot Rims Mag and Aluminum Polish?

If that's the case, why do I see pictures with people taping off the emblems and such?
Waxes have no abrasive properties, so it's generally safe to use them on those surfaces

I've been using Metal Armor from Metal Armor Polishes in the past, expensive but it will give you great results,
once I got myself into more precise detailing about 1-2 years ago I decided not to order any more of Metal Armor, use what I got and then switch to Meguiars stuff which is good as well.'96 Ford Probe GT-T
