I've recently started to work for a Dodge dealer(hey I gotta pay the bills) and they sell their "Pro Pac" ie a dealer installed paint sealant. I've been asked to do these pacs and the question I have is can their (Mopar) sealant be applied using a DA? According to the people that are in the detail shop now they apply the product(looks like a normal white liquid wax) using a applicator pad, wait for it to haze (about 10 min) then remove it by hand. Now this is the odd part to me. They then use an old school "polisher"( you know the type your Dad used in the 70's) to "polish" the paint. But with no product on the car how are they polishing anything? Could I not just use a finish pad on the DA to apply this product, let haze and then remove by hand. Pretty much the same way one would apply NXT 2.0?

Re: Dealer pro pac?
Never heard of the stuff.
You could probably apply it by D.A but I do not know for sure since I have never used or even heard of this product.
How much are they selling this "Pro Pac" for?
Just curious.Nick

Cost for the pro pac is 249.00 I believe. This is added to the new car price as an option.Professional Automotive Reconditioning Services

I bet I could go there and get better results by just lightly claying the finish and appying a coat of M20 by hand.
It would look better and be swirl free as well...........Nick
