  • can you polish to much?

i am using Deep Crystal polish..

i was doing more reading on a detailing website that says every time you use a polish you are taking a small layer of clearcoat off the car and after awhile you will start taking paint off... so does that apply to deep crystal polish? i will probably polish and wax onces every 2 months or so but i dont want to damage the paint if i polish to much...

sorry for all the newbie questions!

Others may correct me if I'm wrong, but Deep Crystal Polish, aka DC2 has absolutely no abrasives whatsoever. It's a pure polish. You can apply until your hearts content and it won't damage the paint. However, you will reach a point where it will provide no additional benefit.

    So polish away!

DCP is a pure polish with no micro-abrasives, therefore you are not abrading the clearcoat as you would with a cleaner polish like SwirlX, M205, M80 or ScratchX, or pure compounds like M105 or Ultimate Compound. As such, you are not removing paint defects either, but rather hiding them by filling them in with DCP.

Your schedule of once every two months sounds safe using DCP and wax.
