  • Megs Glaze #7 then Megs Wax Cleaner

    HI GUys,

If I wash the car, clay it, polish it, use Glaze #7 and then a Wax Cleaner, does the wax cleaner remove the glaze?

    thanks in advance.

Yes it will. Your second step after you clay will be your cleaner. Follow #7 with either #26, #16, #20.

I'm not so sure, bimmer. The cleaner waxes contain polishing oils similar to #7 already. The cleaner wax will remove some of the #7, but put back more product than it removed, according to what Mike wrote somewhere else here.

I'd like to hear what the official word is.

The cleaner waxes are pretty decent products, IMO.

As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.

Hi there. This is a good question. Just some background... I've used #7 and NXT with great results. One thing mentioned on this board that I did notice was the light cleaners in NXT would remove some of #7s residue. I also think since you're using a multi step in one product (cleaner wax) the cleaners won't remove all the #7. The oils in #7 are pretty thick and would need more chemical cleaner than what the cleaner wax has. If you used a dedicated cleaner than yep #7 would be gone.

bimmer330i is correct in the order of products if using single step products.

This would be a good opportunity to see some before and after pics of your results.

Good luck and I'm looking forward to heaing more opinions and seeing some pics...(hint hint )
