Is there a notable difference between using a premade Cleaner Wax to using separate steps such as polish, then wax?

Re: Cleaner wax VS separate steps
A cleaner/wax covers the steps of cleaning, polishing, and waxing.
Generally speaking, you will have more cleaning ability as far as swirl removal from seperate steps, get more polish into the paint with a seperate polish, and have a higher quality wax (more durable and better looking) from seperate steps.
Of course, there are some cleaner/waxes that are stronger cleaners than a mild seperate cleaner, but just saying in general.
Of course, the time savings if you dont have much correction work to do is quite nice. Something like ColorX topped with Nxt is popular for daily drivers.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Cleaner wax VS separate steps
Whenever you blend multiple steps into a single product something has to be compromised. While there are excellent cleaner waxes available - ColorX, M66 and D151 being some, and they work great via D/A polisher - they are usually not the best for severe defect correction. But if you've got a vehicle in pretty good shape to start with, or one that has only very minor swirls and/or soft paint, then these products can be excellent choices.Michael Stoops
