Question about foam applicator..

So I used a soft foam applicator last week and got some of the black c.r.a.p. all over it. I washed it and the black stuff didn't come off soooooo it seems to me that the applicator is now permanently stained. Would it be alright for me to re-use this applicator on car's finish for waxing, polishing, etc. even with the black stains on it?

I wouldnt.

Use it for dressing tires.

What did you use it on that got the black stuff on it? Paint, tires, interior, etc.?

I was applying UP on the interior surfaces of my door and I just went around the entire perimeter of it. I got the black stuff on it near the top part of the door (where the window closes).

Sounds like it rubbed up against the rubber door seal. Once stained like that after I wash them I use them for interior surface or exterior trim, not the paint. Once I use them for the tires I don't use them for anything else but the tires.

Yea, that's exactly what happened. I have others I can use for the paint, good to know I can still use this for interior surfaces! Thanks!
