  • Best wax for Dark Green F-150

I will be detailing a Forest Green F-150 tomorrow, and I was wondering, which wax would be better for shine and deepness, the NXT Generation 2.0 wax or the Cleaner Carnuba wax?

Thanks again and keep on truckin'.

I do not think there is a Cleaner Carnauba Wax made by Megs. I know that Mothers maes a Carnauba Cleaner Wax. NXT Generation 2.0 is a great wax but for dark colors I prefer Gold Class Carnauba Plus. It really makes the red paint on my CooperS pop.

You ask for two different items, shine and deepness. Synthetic sealants are known for being very shiny and reflective while carnauba based waxes are known for their depth. For this reason and for longevity, many decide to put a layer of NXT 2.0 followed by GC Carnauba Plus or M26 so that they have a mix of shine and depth.

I'm sorry, I meant Carnuba Cleaner Wax.

I have a ridgeline painted in Amazon Green. I describe it as electric avocado; its a darker metallic with good depth of image only when clean and polished.

Megs Cleaner Wax, M6, with a second coat of High Tech Yellow Wax, M26, is great to get a jeweled gloss and shine.
