  • NXT 2 paste...the sequel (pics)

After having such a hard time with the past last time, I decided to give it another try today. It was about 10 degrees warmer (mid-upper 70s) than last time and I was able to get the wax on super-thin with just barely dabbing the sponge into the wax...on the sunny side of the car where the paint was warmer. I was actually able to do the entire hood and a fender with just the residue left over in the applicator sponge from the last waxing. The shady side of the car was a bit harder...I wonder if the NXT paste needs to be applied to a warmer surface??

This time the residue buffed off like a dream and most of the fine defects are gone (unless you know where to look and look closely).

Anyhow here are the results of today's session:

This is a reflection off the hood of the sun just as it went behind the clouds. The dark strip to the right is my house

Mike, I'm glad you responded. What are your thoughts on my suggestion that the paste needed the extra heat from the sun to help it apply smoothly and thinly? There was a noticable difference in the ease of use between the sunny side and the shaded side.
