    Can this be used just to remove some bird droppings on the hood or do you have to do the full hood when you use it?

    You can use it on a particular spot if you would like.

        If it leaves a mark, the only way to get it off is to use bird droppings. lol. You should be fine following the advice of the ever trusty cooper and murr.
