  • laundering ultimate wipes Q

I realize this may seem trivial, but is there a preffered or recommended method to clean Ultimate Wipes? Powder vs liquid soap or detergent, drying temp? I have searched the forums for the answer but have found none. Any tips or recommendations to maintain their intregity and longevity will be most appreciated. Thanks!

Just as long as you are not using detergent, you should be safe. I like to use woolite, just my personal preference. Also, depending on the micro fiber type, watch the temperature. Some of my other high end towels have temperature warnings on them.

        Hey,

I use a liquid detergent in warm water and rinse twice with cold water. I also let them air dry.

        Just IMHO!

We wash a lot of microfiber polishing cloths each day here at Meguiar's from activities that take place in Meguiar's Garage and here's how we wash and dry our microfiber polishing cloths.

Wash in hot water with quality laundry detergent, sometimes liquid, sometimes powder. To date I've seen no difference in the performance of the microfiber polishing cloths using either type of detergent.

Dry in clothes dryer using the normal setting.

Remove, fold place back into service.

The most important thing to remember is to not use any fabric softener in either the wash cycle or in the dryer.

What bad things happen when you use fabric softener, and are the dryer sheets bad too?

The MFs should probably be washed and dried separately from other types of towels like terry.
