  • NXT Glass Cleaner VS. RainX?

I was planning on getting NXT glass cleaner, but it was not available anywhere near me. I asked around and all the sales associates told me that RainX has the best glass cleaning product. The plus for this is that it is available at all the stores I checked out.

Should I order NXT glass cleaner online or is RainX a superior product?

    This is a Meguiars forum,

so most would say NXT Generation Glass Cleaner is superior to RainX, it is IMO.

I see, well I guess that is an issue then. How about, can anyone tell me why either one is better?

I am partial to Meguiar's products as well only because of trying so many other brands that just can't perform as well. I figured I would ask because of so many saying how good of a product it is.

I never tried the Rain-X glass cleaner, however NXT is an awesome product. Since you are located in the US, I would simply place an order for it, shipping will be cheap.

I actually like the rain-x better. Though I like Megs products I dont think all the products they make are the best. I feel most glass cleaners perform essentially the same but what I really like about the rain-x is the rain repellent in it. It works really well and save me the hassle of taking out and applying another product afterwards.

I have to say that the Rainx treatment for glass is the best only because it is the only glass treatment product I have ever used. However, Megs, I am sorry, but Stoner's Invisible Glass is the best glass cleaner I have ever used. I cannot find the NXT glass cleaner and would love to try it and I would most likely love it but until then, I am a Stoner's Invisible Glass guy.

Once you got 'em clean, try a coat of Ultimate Quik Wax on the outside of the windows and windshield. Beats Rain-X handily, makes the glass shine, and goes on and off in 1/10th the time of Rain-X. Dynamite stuff!

RGP, you just gave me an idea. I am going to try that tomorrow and will report back on the success. I never thought of doing that. Awesome!!!

As in the Navy, "If it don't move; paint it gray." On my car; hit it with UQW. Windows, cowl moulding and paint. Not much you can't do with that stuff...

I realize that it has not been mentioned. I am partial to the d-line glass cleaner concentrate.

One thing I've done over the last few years...use a quik detailer on the outside of my windows (after washing & drying) - windshield included. And my eyes were REALLY opened over the last few months what a clay bar can do for windshield performance and visibility. Side & rear windows as well!

I clay bar my windshield, and it cleans it quite well. My windshield seems to bead water pretty good on its own, just with it being perfectly clean.

The OP is referring to the glass cleaner, I think.
