As a newcomer and after spending weeks on the internet looking at various polishes and waxes, I finally made the decision that Meguiar's is the product for me along with the 7424XP power polisher. Now the fun begins. As I live in Canada, I went to Canadian Tire to find that they only carry a few Meguiar's products. I can't seem to find anyone that carries a complete Meguiar's line of products. HELP PLEASE !!!

Re: Trouble finding Meguiar's
Unfortunately, I have heard from other people with the same problem in Canada. I can recommend going to ADS (autodetailingsolutions.net) as they carry the entire Meguiars line from professional to consumer.Tedrow's Detailing

Re: Trouble finding Meguiar's
I was actually shocked when I went into my local CT, they had just stocked the shelves with Ultimate Compound, Ultimate Quick Wax and the Headlight Restoration Kit. Figured we'd have to wait a lot longer for these to show up. As a bonus, all the Gold Class was on sale too! However, I noticed that the ColorX was marked for clearance, which I was not happy to see.Bringing in new products is good, getting rid of products is not so good...

Re: Trouble finding Meguiar's
The additional charges I would have are "exchange" ( not so bad now with our dollar coming up a bit) plus "duty" IF the Porter Cable 7424XP is manufactured outside of the U.S. , Canada or Mexico. Do you know where the Porter Cable is manufactured? The duty is 6% if say it's manufactured in China.

Re: Trouble finding Meguiar's
Hey,
Which Canadian Tire did you go to? I've found some are better than others. The one by Polo Park I think carries a good range of products. Same with the Partsource out on Bishop Grandin. Unfortunately though you are going to run into the same issue as me, with some products not being available in Canada, but the basics are there.
Anyways try Canadian Tire at Polo Park and Partsource on Bishop, they seem the best so far that I've found.

Re: Trouble finding Meguiar's
I was able to get all my meguiars stuff locally in Winnipeg.
Smooth Surface Clay Bar Kit
NXT Tech Wax 2.0
Cleaner Wax
Gold Class Leather Conditioner
Natural Shine Interior Spray
And I've seen alot more for sale at the stores I listed before. You should be able to find what you need locally.

Re: Trouble finding Meguiar's
Yes, but there is some professional line stuff carried by the Canadian Tire and Partsource here. I didn't specify buy my Cleaner Wax is Mirror Glaze #6 Cleaner Wax. There is alot of others there as well, I'm just alot more unsure on the numbering scheme of the professional line still so I don't reference them. I do work by hand though for now.
Pads are another story, and I don't remember ever seeing them.

Re: Trouble finding Meguiar's
In Toronto CT, they do carry a few products in the Meguiar's consumer line but they are so overpriced.
Examples:
NXT in Meguiars website: $17.99 US, in CT: $29.99 CAN
Cleaner Wax in Meguiars website: $7.49 US, in CT: $14.99 CAN
These prices in CT have been the same for the past 5 years and they are seldom on sales. With Canadian and US monies are almost at par now, there is absolutely no reason for these high prices.
Maybe it is better if we (Canadians) order on line and pay for the exchange and the duties.
Or drive across the border and buy 2-3 products at a time. I went to Buffalo one weekend and bought a bottle of Swirl X (for $6 US) and a UQW(for $8.99 US) in a local walmart.
