  • switching from M80 to M205 using G100 and W-8006 pad?

I am thinking of using M205 this spring instead of M80. My finish is in good shape and M80 would be fine as it has been in the past for "spring cleaning", but since I need to buy more I figured I'd try M205 instead.

I have the older G100 that I've used in the past with M80, a W-8006 yellow 6 1/2" pad at speed 5. Is that pad speed combination correct for using M205?

It should work just fine. Do a test spot and see how many passes are needed with 205. If it is minor swirls, you may not need very many passes, but if they're medium, it may require some more passes (the same goes for all the smat products).

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

Seems right to me. I have used it this way on my G110 and G100.
