Shocker, right? It was brought up in my Super Degreaser review thread too. That stuff is brought up more often than any other product here darn near...

Yes, gets annoying after a while.

I fail to see how Wesleys is more cost effective than Super Degreaser. Super Degreaser can be diluted and costs a little more than $15 a gallon.

You have to take a lot of precautions with WB as well since you do not want to get it on wheels, inhale it, etc.

Excellent points about the WB. I am sure a lot of the newer members are not aware of how potent the WB is.

You seen the ingredients in Westley's as well? All acid pretty much. I've said my piece about it in some thread where it was brought up by one of the like same 3 people that religiously bring it up in every tire cleaning thread created.

I usually use Greased Lightning Orange Blast, Purple Power or a Simple Green type of all purpose cleaner. I was going to pick up some WB tomorrow but after reading what Tuck, JA Michaels and Roughstage said, I will be sticking to my original product line. Thanks guys!

I don't understand why you feel the need to dilute APC for cleaning your tires. I buy Super Clean and use it straight from the container. It does a great job and I've been doing it this way for years.

Road film contains all sorts of petroleum by products which are difficult to breakdown and dissolve. Given the fact that tires are porous to a certain degree adds to the problem.

Wesleys makes a great product and it does work pretty well but when. The last time I bought a 32 ounce spray bottle of Wesleys it cost my nearly $8.00 compared to a Gallon of Super Clean for about $12.00, I think I've even bought it on sale for $9.99.

Amazing Roll-Off does a good job cleaning tires, but it's not as economical as many of the other products mentioned in this thread.

I use Eagle One All Wheel/TIRE cleaner on our tires. Melts off the old dressings and cleans brake dust (if there was any) before I'm done spraying and a bottle goes a long ways. I then clean the wheels as necessary with the appropriate cleaner, car was mostly as most wheel cleaners, including the E1 will strip the wax.....

I've watched a fellow detailer use Westley's quite often with terrific results, so I'm not going to knock it. I personally like Meg's Wheel Brightner and/or Super Degreaser. No need to mess with what works...and my storage bin will only hold so many bottles of product, ya know?

ADS carries this. Wondered if it might help it boost cleaning power of Megs APC on white walls, avoid duplicate products, etc.

Those products are usually made to be able to be used full-strength, where as APC is supposed to be diluted. Simple Green is supposed to be diluted too. People don't and wonder why bad things happen.
