I'm new to this forum (or any others) and want to learn what I need to make my 2000 Avalon shine. I just bought it a couple of months ago and it looks like it may have never been waxed. It's black but the paint looks to be in pretty good shape. I'm thinking of purchasing a DA Polisher and am not sure of what I need to go along with it. Any recommendations?

Re: 2000 Avalon Needs Help
Got any pics? That would help for making a recommendation. Will you be working by hand or by machine?Shane

Re: 2000 Avalon Needs Help
Everyone who has used a D.A. will tell you, it is worth it. You'll wonder why you did it by hand for so long. There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

Just so you know I had to remove that link for now because we ask that new members reach 30 posts before posting hyperlinks to outside sites.
Also, just to note, websites like Picas are less reliable hosting pictures on a long-term basis, so we recommend using the Meguiar's free hosting in the future

Re: 2000 Avalon Needs Help
Thanks for all of your help, but I'm still not sure of what I need to buy to get started. The more I read these forums, the more confusing it becomes. I just need to know what to get with a DA polisher so I can remove swirls and scratches and apply polish/wax afterward.
