I would think APC(D101) would be more effective than APC+(D103) for cleaning exterior parts(wheels, wheel wells, tires, engine) because of the increased foaming action. I'm more inclined to buy APC rather than APC+ for cleaning exterior, is this OK?

Re: Meguiars APC question
Well APC+ has degreasers in it so it would work better on cutting off grease (obviously haha). APC+ also works better for carpets because it foams less. I like using APC+ on tires that aren't dirty but have dressing and minimal street grime on them, that way it can remove the grease on the tires. APC with a foaming sprayer also works amazing on tires that are pretty dirty with mud and it does well against grime as well.
Basically APC isn't going to foam unless you scrub it in carpets with a brush and use an extractor or use a foaming sprayer. I was caught in this same dilemma you were when I decided to buy my first shipment of APC and APC+, I felt like I was buying 2 of the same products.
I'd suggest buying them both and you'll be surprised, you will find individual uses for each of them. (Pick up a foaming sprayer to use with the APC+ too)
I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.

If I understood correctly, APC+ contains degreasers and APC does not?

Re: Meguiars APC question
Yep! But for really heavier areas that need degreasing, I would suggest to use Super Degreaser. There are so many products that you can use in so many different areas. I like using APC+ on my engine bay because it gets dusty, but never really greasy so the small amount of grease in there is taken care of by the APC+

Re: Meguiars APC question
I bought APC+ for now. I also bought a foam sprayer for exterior cleaning(tires, wheels, wheel wells, engine), and will use a regular sprayer for carpets/upholstery. I have a bissell pro heat little green machine, and the low faoming APC+ is ideal.

Sounds Great! APC+ has amazing cleaning capabilities. You can also mix it at your desired dilutions too!
