So the general census is to just replace the whole thing then, eh?

How many of these have you all collected? haha

Brinkman's are known to have problems with the battery. There is a write on detailingworld that talks about it and tells you what battery to replace it with.

Hi guys Well, after many months of squinting in the sun, borrowing lamps or using dodgy torches etc I finally got my Brinkmann through on a group buy. I had always assumed dodgy Brinkmanns existed but were rare and tales of 'buy 3 to get 2 that work' were an exaggeration. How wrong I was! Now...

            Very handy, thank you!

Now I just need to decide if it's worth the work taking it apart. I'm a bit disappointed but I did get good usage out of mine on my own car before it died.

There has to be another model with replaceable batteries, maybe better? Heck, I wouldn't even mind normal batteries. I like them more than rechargables, at least when the rechargable is not replaceable.
