  • Brinkmann Battery

Sorry this isn't really detail specific (although that's all I use mine for) but has anyone found a good place and price to purchase replacement batteries for their favorite swirl finder?

My battery seems dead on my Brinkmann Xenon light... Also if anyone can could they post the specifications of the AC charger? I mixed mine up and have severeal 12 volts but the mA varies on each.

Batteries? I thought those things ran on tears.

Try eBay or the manufacturer, but it might be cheaper to just buy a new one.

Yeah mine will not hold a charge anymore. Very disappointing I've had it less than a year. If I charge it the light is very dim...

They are only 30 bucks new. I'd just replace it.

If you had it less than a year, it should be under warranty. Call Brinkmann customer service.

If you're looking for a great LED replacement, the Fenix TK11R2 is a great light. I accidently shorted my Brinkmann by dropping it the other day and picked up the Fenix to hold me off until I could do a battery swap. I bought my Fenix for $50 shipped from Amazon not too long ago

The light also has the ability to pick up holograms fairly well

The battery and bulbs are not covered by the 1 year warranty.

                    Bummer!

I run all my battery operated equipment until they die then recharge. I have an old Black and Decker 12V cordless drill that won't quit! I bought an 18V craftsman as the old B&D started to smoke when the trigger was pulled, still works.

Kill those batteries off then recharge.

Well I did something stupid to my Brinkmann today. A few months back, we moved. Everything was in it place and the new house is great. I decided this weekend to tweak the garage. Find everything and re organize my detailing supplies.

I could not find the charger for the Brinkmann. I went through every tote in the garage. I think I found it. It fits. Let's charge it up. Plug it in, about 2 minutes later I hear a loud pop. Blew something up inside the Brinkmann.

Moral of the story, I guess I did not find the correct charger.

I guess "supercharged" is not always best! Well, at least now you have a reason to buy a new one!
There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

I have so many different chargers, I got into the habit of using blank mailing labels and a sharpie to identify which device they go to.
