  • My Detailing Arsenal

Hi all. I have a 2000 Black Lexus GS 300 and have the followin products in my Meguiar's detailing arsenal. Can you tell me what to add or remove from it? I will clay the car soon, when the weather gets better.

    Deep Crystal Carwash
    Smooth Surface Clay Kit
    ScrathX 2.0
    Ultimate Compound
    NXT Tech Wax 2.0
    Ultimate Quick Detailer
    PlasticX
    2 Buckets with grit guard

ADT Rotary buffer (no not proficient in this, and trying to learn....will not use until I understand how to correctly use)

    Small 7" Wagner polisher.

Please let me know what else I need to have (Polish?)

Thank you in advance for your recommendations.

What sort of surface are you working on? Many defects, etc?
    1. Wash - Deep Crystal
    2. Clay - Smooth Surface Clay kit, maybe an extra QD bottle.
    3. Clean - SwirlX, ScratchX 2.0, UC as needed. SwirlX would be mildest, so is the product to start with, and for general use.
    4. Polish - Optional, but Deep Crystal Polish is good and easy to use.
    5. Wax - Nxt 2.0
    6. Wax - Nxt 2.0

    7. Maintain - UQD is good for removing dust, etc. Ultimate Quick Wax is good for after future washes.

And of course towels, applicators, glass, tires, wheels, interior, etc products if wanted.

Besides the above list. How about a practice panel from your local junk yard. Use this until you are proficient on the rotary.

Better to make a mistake on this. Not on your good paint.

Well, the above products arent really rotary products either, so certainly will need other things for learning to work with that.

I am guessing 5 and 6 you are meaning to repeat the wax?

And of course towels, applicators, glass, tires, wheels, interior, etc products if wanted.
          Thanks for the advice.

Yes, two thin coats of wax.

You will want SwirlX for regular cleaning, and depending on how bad the swirls are, it may be enough to remove them. So I would look into getting some.
