  • What about M80... I don' t get it

As I can see M80 has some cutting power since it is a 4/10, but Meguiars describe it as being a great product to be used on fresh paint jobs to help and protect the car in the curing process, how is that?

The 'fresh paint' part is because #80 has a polymer in it that is fresh paint safe, and will offer a little protection to the surface. Nothing like a wax or anything, but a little bit can be better than nothing.

And it still has a good swirl removal ability for regular detailing, still has a lot of polishing oils (great for single stage paint), and is a good price... It is just a DAT product, and not the new SMAT.

      M83 is btw 82 (3/10) and 83 (6/10), right?

Ow and Murr, let me ask you another thing...

Does Meguiars smooth Claybar has the ability to remove residues and all without removing wax/sealant?

The claybar will remove above surface bonded contaminants and will remove wax/sealant in the process. Now way around it!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

        I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.

          It would be:

          #82/#9 - Very mild
          #80 - Mild
          #83 - Medium

Some companies seem to claim that their very mild clay leaves wax behind.... I dunno. Meguiars has never said that about their clays, and always assumes that some wax, if not all, has been removed.

Just a quick comment on that (unless you have already clayed your car) but sometimes it will feel nice to the touch but if you test out a small test spot, you would be surprised at what comes up on the clay bar.

Unless you already clayed, give a small test spot a try with the clay bar. If it comes up clean then you are in great condition, but who knows, maybe you'll pick something up. Make sure to put some wax over the area you clayed

I already clayed my car this week, before applying NXT and M26, the annoying was that the claybar was expensive, but not that good. The other claybar I found was sticking residues all over the paint (I did a test spot).

Since claybar are not very popular around here, it gets impossible to find a good one, that is why I am happy that I found a trustable seller on ebay that can ship Meguiars products to Brazil for a reasonable price.

Does Amazon have a Brazil site? If so, that might be your best bet for clay. They sell the Megs professional clay.

No, it doesn't, and there is amazon U.S. but it only ships books and dvds to Brazil, it doesn' t ship anything else than that.
