  • Determing the amount of paint correction?

    I've seen a few posts were they talk about going for a certain percentage paint correction.. like, 85% correction or 90%, etc..

    What does this mean, and how do you come up with this sort of figure?

    It just means compared to something like a perfect show car, how worried you are about leaving a few swirls behind.

    Like on a daily driver, one might not worry about some light swirls, but remove the major swirls/scratches.

      Those are estimates. People just say it so readers can get maybe an "idea".
      95% or something like it, means you are pretty close to perfection, removed almost all kind of defects leaving some isolated traces and the numbers go
