One thing that I need to say, if you look at the process I just used some products because they were new at the moment like the old version of M105 and D151 and I wanted to test them out. Maybe you don't need to go as aggressive as M105. Start with the least aggressive method
Its basically trial and error with that stuff. My mom's Honda Civic (2003) has a pretty soft clear coat as I was able to polish out a section perfectly with UC followed by Swirlx. My Mini Cooper S on the other hand has hard as nails paint. I tried UC again today with 4 applications and a foam applicator and still swirls are glaring at me. Thats why I am getting a G110V2 soon.
Eventually after hearing and seeing enough, you can pick up what automakers have hard or soft clear coats.
