Explain differences Detailer vs. Protectant

For use on exterior vinyl/plastic bumpers, lower door panels, areas around wiper blade arm pivots, what are the differences between Gold Class Trim Detailer and Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant.

In addition to those areas, I sort of drag my left leg into the car and brutalize the door trim below the scuff plate and the door jamb scuff plate. Which is better Detailer or Protectant? Or how are their functions/uses different? Thanks...

As far as those words, they are just different names.

I believe the Gold Class Trim Detailer would be more durable, however the new Ultimate Protectant should be even more durable.

Thanks, I was just going off the Meguiar's web site to determine which was more appropriate. I've been to Wally World, Target, Auto Zone and O'Reilly's searching for these products, without much success. Ordering Ultimate Protectant on-line may be the answer. I should be getting used to looking for "Ultimate" in the product name. UQD and UQW are a couple of my favs.

My local Advance Auto parts carries the Ultimate protectorant. great stuff. Seems very durable. It survived a day with my grandson last week. lol.
