  • Car Wash Dent

This morning I decided to go get my car washed at the local touchless car wash.

Things started off fine until out of no where I hear a very loud loud on my roof. Soon after I see that it was a hose with some type of fitting that had hit my car. There was a leak in the hose and it had powered its way out of position

It sounded really bad so I exited the car wash to see what happened.

Sure enough, it was a dent on the roof. I filed an incident report, and reported it to my insurance, hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Note to self, wash car at home from now on.

Ouch! Good thing it didn't hit your windshield! Hope everything works out for you.
There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

Ouch. From the angles of your pics it does not look that bad. Hope they fix it fast and right the first time.

Ouch again. It the paint is not broken, I suggest trying PDR (paintless dent repair). Silver paint can be a son-of-a gun to match. I've had lots of dents removed by PDR. A good PDR tech works "magic".

Why did you file with your insurance? Did you contact the car wash? This would be something their insurance should be paying for.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

I would have rather had it hit the windshield. They are easy to replace. You also wouldn't have the worries that having a repaint or repair job brings. Replace all the glass you want, just don't touch my paint.

I was wondering the same thing.
