  • what ratio for HD??

just ordered some HD and Last touch from ADS. Whats the best MULTI-USE ratio to dilute HD. Ill be using it on tires, engine, and trim??? is 1:1 more glossey than 4:1? How does that work??

    Yes, 1:1 is glossiest.

Maybe dont mix the full bottle right away, just do your own measuring for a small sample of something like 2-3:1 (2 parts water, 1 part HD), and see how you like it, then vary it from there.

I use HD 4:1 for interior trim and it looks really nice. I'm not a fan of the fake plasticy, blind you with the glare look.

1:1 would mean 1 part water, 1 part HD ie. 1 cup water, 1 cup HD
4:1 would mean 4 parts water, 1 part HD.

Unless you ordered multiple spray bottles, you'll have to mix up a batch at a time. Even with the 32oz sampler bottle, mixing the whole bottle at even 1:1 would give you 64oz, or 1/2 gallon of product. 4:1 would give you 160oz, or 1.25 gallons of product.

I ordered the 32oz sampler size of HD, and then an extra HD bottle/sprayer. In my extra bottle, I just mixed it 2:1 and I'm very pleased with the look it gives my exterior trim. I have yet to try it on the engine bay though.

I have two spray bottles from Target that I used for HD. One is mixed at 2:1 and the other at 3:1. I seldom use the 2:1 and use the 3:1 for pretty much all applications. It leaves a slightly glossy look. You might want to try 3:1 and 4:1 to see what you like. As mentioned, just mix up two small batches and try them. Don't mix the whole thing (where would you store 3-4 gallons anyway).
