  • Jeep Hardtop

I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4x4. It has a black hardtop and some black plastic trim around the corners of the bumpers. Was wondering what you would recomend for detailing these pieces? I currently use Gold Class Trim Detailer. Love the shine afterwards, but it is a little hard to work with. Even after the product has set up for a couple of days, if it rains it streaks all over the painted surfaces. Looks terrible. Is there something in a spray I should use. Looking for something that cleans and leaves a nice shine. Thanks in advance. Rob.

Give the new for 2010 Ultimate Protectant a try. It is supposed to be quick drying (not greasy) and not streak in the rain

        I'll agree with trying UP.

M40 is also a great product, but it's water based so it doesn't last in wet weather.

Yeah, UP or All Season Dressing would be the things to try next.

I would be sure to apply them, let sit for 10miutes or so, then come back and wipe off excess.

#40 Vinyl/Rubber Cleaner and Conditioner would be my choice. Best dressing I have used for Jeep trim:

I use Ultimate Quik Wax on our Sahara's hard top every time it gets washed. I use All Season Dressing on all the other black trim pieces.

I would give the Ultimate Protector-ant a try.
