  • The discontinued Meguiar's Body Brush

Someone had to be making those for Meguiar's and it seems like we should be able to find something similar.
Not the "wide-body", the smaller one.
It might not have the fancy handle, but what I am after is the soft brush.
    Anyone ever found anything comparable?

Another option (and many like using them) is a Boar's hair brush.

The $60 to $100 price stops me there.

Do a google search for " meguiars versa angle body brush " and you might come across a vendor who may still have them and the other accessories.

          Tried that.
          Found one for less than$15.
Of course the $19 shipping seemed a little high.

If this person is still looking for any of the versa brushes, the carquest in my town still has some on the self.
They have the long and short handle wheel brushes, the white body brush long handle, the rubber pet hair remover, the paint brush interior detail brush.

                Thanks!
I'll check my local Car Quest stores.

Re: The discontinued Meguiar's Body Brush

I'm surprised some retail parts stores like carquest still have these in stock. They have been discontinued for quite some time now.

I'd love to be able to find another one of the soft bristle body brushes also, or an equivalent. I actually had a dream once that I walked into a paint and body store and found a whole stash of the Meguiar's discontinued brushes.

$34.00 total is a little high. But if you really want it. It sure beats the $60.00-100.00 price.

And that's one place I haven't tried. I don't remember the P&B supply store I used to go to ever having the Meguiar's brushes so I never gave any thought to them having any left.

It isn't a major issue since I have two of them and I only use them for wheels.
The wheel brushes seemed too harsh for me to feel comfortable using them and I never was comfortable with the idea of using a brush on the body of the car. The body brush works great on wheels. The two I have will probably last for years so if I don't find a substitute, I'll be fine. It was mostly the idea of running out of something.

                      Thanks for all the suggestions.

The local PBE store I go to never really had any of the brushes either, but that is what I dreamed about.

Some PBE stores do have some pretty old stuff sitting around though sometimes. The local PBE store I go to actually has 2 of those adjustable rotary buffer handles that Meguiar's used to make, and those have not been around for years. So I suppose it is possible that one somewhere may have some old brushes still sitting around. The problem is finding them because most of those stores do not have websites to search.

Re: The discontinued Meguiar's Body Brush

I think all of us feel the same way. If There is something discontinued, that we used and liked. We are hesitant to try something new. So we go and hoard up all we can find. Then panic when we are down to a couple. Like the brushes now.

I know from my own experience with the brushes. I am very hesitant to throw one out. It will be good for one more use. lol

My local CQ has an inch of dust on all the Meg's and DG products, some with yellowing labels. They never heard of 205/105. I'm guessing their stock doesn't turn over too fast.
