The problem with electric blowers are that they have no power and they have cords you have to deal with. Gas blowers have double, or even triple, the power of electric blowers and will accomplish the task in half the time, or even less. Not to mention they can go anywhere, which is especially important since a power outlet isn't always available.

I've been using an electric leaf blower for years with no problems. Before I wash, I hose down my driveway to make sure there is no dust/debris that gets kicked up when I use it. I use a 150mph craftsman electric leaf blower and it works just fine. Most importantly, if you don't have a good coat of wax/sealant, then the blower will not be help much as it will just drag the water and will not blow off as easy.

Btw... a leaf blower shouldn't be relied upon to be a complete means of drying, but more in aiding with a quality waffle weave or microfiber drying towel.
