How 'bout Aardvark Auto Detailing? You'd probably get first billing in the phone book; not many calls, but first on the list...

I'd say to tailor the name to the demographics of your service area. High income customers will be drawn to words like prestige, concours, etc.

Middle class clientèle will be more drawn to reliable, affordable, value, quality etc.

I like either Lasting Shine Deatiling or Zach's Custom Detailing.

i could always switch it up some and get out of being last by like.....something like this

    Custom Detailing by Zach
    Premium Detailing by Zach

Basically just switching my name from first to last in the name.

How many detailers would there be in a listing of Mason City's size? Even if you're the last one it's likely you would all be on the same page within about 6 inches of each other. Just pay for the BOLD type and you'll stand out as the last one.

I like "Zach's River City Detailing". I'm partial to giving a location in the name though.

Zach Custom Detailing sounds great. Besides custom detailing is what you want to do, and let your customers know that is what they are going to get when they use your services.

    Just my 2 cents.

I did a google search of Mason City to see if there was anything to tie into.

What about 'Clear Lake' something... I love the connotation of Clear Lake, such as crystal clear reflective pureness. A perfect finish should look like a clear lake. Particularly if you can tie that into your marketing, like a picture the fender of a truck with the lake reflecting on it.

    Clear Lake Detailing
    Clear Lake Detailing Speciliast
    Clear Lake Superior Detailing
    Clear Lake Clear Finishing Detailing
Clear Lake Exclusive - Auto Detailing Specialist

The list could go on and on. Define your target (nice cars, daily drivers, perfection work), get them interested with your name, then 'reel them in' with yourself.

    Just my two cents

I like "Zach's Premium Detailing" but as Mark stated if you ever have a phone listing you will be dead last so maybe something like "A+ Detailing by Zach" would work.

Give it time, people will reply especially during the day!

With that here's a few suggestions...

    Mason City Auto Spa
    Midwest Details Inc.
    Hall's Mirror Shine Detailing
    Hall-Z Auto Spa of Iowa

I think that considering the key component is different, the personal name, it should be fine

Plus you are in very different markets

I like Zach's Premium Detailing - just be aware that if you intend to get big enough to drop the bucks for a phonebook listing, you will be dead last. Considering most detailers don't go that route, it shouldn't be an issue.

There are a lot of detailing companies with various variations of a few heavily used detailing terms, and it may work for some, but others gets lost in the mix.

Like Mike Phillips suggested, using your name in your business name helps to make it unique and makes people relate it to YOU.
