    Hey Russ

If that is you on your about me page THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICES!

How I clean my wax applicator pads is to soak with hot water then spray with dawn direct foam spray.

And scrub with my finger tips and let soak for a few minutes and then rinse well and let air dry then put back in my container to reuse.

Also do my G100 cutting-polishing and finishing pads the same way.

Yeah, the hand pads I just toss in a bucket with Dawn and let soak for a while, then rinse.

I throw mine in the washing machine. Then let air dry.

          I second what Stang said!

I clean my pads like J.A., Washing them in the wash machine won't hurt and they come out pretty dang clean.
If you want to live dangerous, you could throw them in the dryer with little or no heat for about 10 minutes (I wouldn't go over that amount of time). I've done this when I needed my pads on the fly with no damage. Not saying you could damage them, (Murphy's Law usually works against me!) try it out with one of your older pads that you can part with if that doesn't go well.

Here at Meguiar's garage we throw the small foam wax applicators in the washer and dryer along with our Soft Buff 2.0 7" pads. Heavy cycle on both wash and dry. No issues so far, and we've washed an awful lot of pads over the years!!!

                Black isn't a color, it's a part-time job.

WOW, what a great way to put it !!!! LOL LOL

and about the pads, yeh just throw them in the washer, thats what i do..except for any pads that i use NXT with..NXT is tough stuff so i usually have to squeeze most of the product out in the sink and then throw them in the washing machine, but for the most part, the washing machine gets the job done

on a side note, although this has nothing to do with wax, its really cool how if you use the foam applicator pads for products like, lets say, M40, Hyper Dressing, Water Based Dressing, etc...they are all water based and when you just take them into the sink, soak them in water, and give them one good squeeze and all the product is gone and the pad is clean

                    Re: Wax Applicator pads

I spray my pads with the purple AP degreaser. While it's soaking in I mix up a bucket of dawn and hot water. Before I throw them in, I spray them off with the hose getting the majority of wax off then throw them in the bucket.

If I threw all my wax and polish covered cloths and pads in the washer where we wash cloths, my wife would short circuit!

I'm lucky I wash all of mine in the washer. Then run it through the dryer.

I always wash mine together with no problem.

Where can I get the purple AP degreaser and do you use full strength or do you dilute it. And is the purple AP degreaser the purple power industrial strength cleaner/degreaser?
