I noticed some paint chips (it's gonna happen, otherwise buy a tank or not drive it at all) on the hood of my black car. I do not have money for body shop or to purchase the LANGKA (or equivalent) kit. Have anyone used permanent marker to cover it up? Yes, I have OEM touch-up paint, however, I tried to use the brush and toothpicks, and it leave "blobs" of paint on the paint chips.

Re: Permanent marker on paint chip
Yes, I've done this on a vehicle before and I do it on my black company car (gotta test stuff out on something). The issue is that the marker _is_ going to look different then the paint and you will be able to see the difference when looking at it. However, if your looking at the entire body panel as a whole, it's going to look much better then the white chips would. So certainly is just a light cosmetic improvement. It won't really hide the chips, only make the panel look a little better over-all.

Re: Permanent marker on paint chip
Has anyone ever heard of a product called touch up magic? You use touch up paint first, let it dry then put the product on and then you scrape it of with a plastic razor they supply. It's supposed to get rid of the blob of paint. Only heard of one person who used it and said it worked o.k.
