  • Yet another ONR question.

I know that the dilution recommended is 1 ounce per 2 galllons of water. So it's okay to use 2 ounces in 4 gallons right?

I know this seems like an obvious question but you never know with these chemicals.

Yes it is OK. I use two bucket method with ONR and do 2 oz for four gallons (two gallons per bucket). Per their website dilution rate of 2 oz per 2 gallons if you have hard water. I also rinse vehicle first if it is very salty.

Thank you very much, sir! It seems like we have pretty much the same technique.

Just curious from you post, are you adding ONR to the rinse bucket as well? Or just add the 4oz to the wash bucket?

I recently recieved my order of ONR, but have been waiting for the temps here in Michgan to get above 20 degrees.

Same way I do it. In my area of Florida we have very hard water.

Just the wash bucket. I rub the mitt on the grit guard in the rinse bucket to get the majority of the crud off then repeat this in the wash bucket.

I generally use one ounce per gallon. We have hard water where we live, and the ONR polymers, so I have read, will bind to the minerals. I understand that no cleansing benefit is gained by increasing the amount of ONR above 1 oz per gallon, though. I probably could get by using less, but since I only have two cars to tend to, I'm not concerned about the savings. I'm still on my first gallon jug, and it's been well over a year now.
