  • Using a brush with tire cleaner?

I just purchased some Wesley's Bleche Wite Tire Cleaner, I was just wondering if anyone used a brush with it or just let it soak in and then wipe off? My new tires stay brown!

I would use a brush dipped in car wash soap and water. Then rinse.

I'd suggest spraying it on and letting it sit 30 seconds and then agitate it with the brush then rinse the tire. Make sure to not get any of the Bleche White on the paint!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

      I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
      Remove swirls my friends.

Yeah, I use a soft toothbrush on my tires with APC, probably a good idea with any product.

          Hey rherring

I use purple power diluted 50/50 with water for tires and wheel wells and a meguiars tire brush and have great results!

Meguiar's made some pretty good brushes back in the day, but they discontinued them here in the US. Amazon/ebay or maybe your local Big Lots might have them. Every now and them they are a decent price on Amazon the link above is.

Also, depending on your tire's finish/how particular you are you might want to just spray, scrub right away and rinse off as BW is pretty strong stuff. I personally cut it half water/half BW for my car, which my tires are never too dirty (no dirt roads and usually a tire shine on for protection and looks, of course).

Thanks for the responses. Is there a good way to apply the Bleche Wite to a compact tire so it doesnt get all over the wheel?

Have soap and water on the wheel so that whatever gets on it is diluted.

So does tire get wet as well?

I always use a brush, it makes a world of difference. The best brush I've found is contoured, so it fits to the surface of the tire, and the Megs tire brush works good too. I wet the tire, spray the cleaner on, let it sit for a few seconds, dip the brush into my wheel/tire soap bucket and scrub the tire down. Then I rinse the tires off and let them dry before applying any dressing.

You use a toothbrush on your tires? Wow, how long does it take you to clean a tire? That's a pretty small brush for so much area.
