cleaner wax was the first wax i bought from Meguiars. THat was the only thing i used for years. Now i have every wax and polish from meguiars and i find i never use the cleaner wax anymore. I usually wash, clay, polish wax. Where would cleaner wax fit into this. Wnen is this best used?

Re: Forgot about Cleaner Wax?
Some of us like to use Cleaner Wax on the door and trunk jambs. Have to figure out a use for the little bottle of the stuff we got with the clay bar kit.
Cleaner Wax is a good product for daily drivers. See Mosca's article on cleaner wax.Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.

Re: Forgot about Cleaner Wax?
I actually want to try #6 cleaner wax.
I have a question for anybody willing to answer, I often hear how A12, #6, and Color X is more of a "chemical" cleaner. Does that mean you wouldn't have to "work in" as much as something like Swirl-X which is more aimed towards leveling the paint to remove swirls? So basically you can just apply, let it sit, and then wipe off after it hazes. I'm assuming by chemically cleaning, it removes the embedded dirt and debris but does NOT level the paint as much. So long question short, am I right? Thanks folks!2006 San Remo Red WRX TR

Re: Forgot about Cleaner Wax?
Not really... people tend to say 'chemical' when they mean no abraisves. And ColorX does have abrasives, though I wouldnt want to remove defects with it.
Much like cleaning dishes, or anything else with a chemical, you still need to wipe it in a bit.
Also, cleaners dont need to haze, you can just apply then remove.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Forgot about Cleaner Wax?
love the stuff. My go to wax when the temp. drops below 50 degree's.I have went as far as washing my vehicle and the water has froze before I could get it dried off, and still applied the a12 cleaner wax with great results.
Also before I started using the spray waxes that would be my every couple week wax, just to keep that nice shine and keep the gloss up and mainly because I like the old school ways and apply my lsp by hand with the paste wax.''USE THE LEAST AGGRESSIVE PRODUCT TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT''

Like everyone said, door and trunk and hood openings get dirty and cleaner-wax is absolutely ideal for them.2010 XRS
