mold on finishing pad

i left my finishing pad in a zip lock bag ....some time has past and when i wentt to grab it was moldy ....any sugguestions

Try washing it, see if it comes clean. I did it by hand with Dawn.

I have had that happen to 2 pads, one came out, one was too far gone.

Did you zip the bag shut while the pad was still damp? If so that's probably why it got moldy. Try leaving the bag open while it dries or leaving it out on the counter.

You don't want to put pads in a ziploc bag until your certain it has dried (it will trap moisture in leading to mold). When i'm done washing my pads, I put them on the grit guard to dry, before storing them away in one of those snap-lid tote containers.

Excellent idea. I typically flip them every now and again because just laying them out on a table the bottom side doesn't dry well.
