  • Ultimate QD for interior wood?

I'm a new guy here. Every car that I've had for the last 12 years has had wood interior trim, and I've never really satisfactorily detailed it. For fear of ruining it, I've always misted DI water onto it and wiped w/ a soft cloth. I'm wondering if anyone has used Ultimate QD, and if so how does it perform, and if anyone has any other suggestions or tips, I'd love to hear them. My current car is a 2010 MB E350, and I would like to keep the wood looking new.

UQD should work ok, if it is a smooth, glossy surface.. You might want to wipe back over it just to make sure there is no excess on the surface.

Any QD should work, but why not use Megs Interior quick detailer. It is made for interior surfaces.

In most cars, you arent working on wood, you are working on some sort of plastic coating. A wax, UQD, UQW, etc would be fine on a smooth, glossy surface.

Quik Interior Detailer or Ultimate Quik Detailer are both perfectly fine for the wood trim, whether real or fake, in any car. Whether fake or real wood, the finish is generally such that even a wax can be applied to the surface, including a cleaner wax. Unless you have a very rare case where the wood is real and untreated or uncoated, then that will change things. This is extremely rare in a modern car, unless you've got a new Rolls Royce Phantom Drop Head Coupe with the oiled teak tonneau deck.
