Removing scratches from clear coat on wheels.

I tried testing a mag/aluminum polish to shine up my wheels, but instead I found that it was putting scratches into it. I realized that my wheels have a clear coat on them, so my question is can I use scratchx to remove these? Thanks. Are there other products that would get the job done?

Yes, a paint cleaner will be good.
