  • Winter freezing UQD

Hey guys, I just went out to detail my car with UQD from the bird bombs . So here's my experience in case anyone else wants to remove them in this freezing weather... UQD pumps out liquid still, but after a few seconds flash freezed on my paint. Manage to wipe off the uqd and poop, but it came off on my mf as a mess of ice. (yes i know you're not supposed to let products freeze but I cannot stand having all those white spots ) Though I probably instilled a few scratches . Temps are 26F and windchill making it ~8F. Careful out there!!!

That'll happen to any liquid at that temperature, not just UQD. Your actual car's surface temperature is probably colder

Pull it in the garage next time. Or use Hot water to wash the Poop off.

Why don't we all just move SOUTH!!!!!
There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

Mason City...14 below, wind chill 31 below and a 60 degree garage...which is spinning faster your electric meter or your gas meter??

My new bottle of UQD went straight from the O'Reilly store shelf to the basement, bypassing the 18 degree garage. Needs to warm up a bit before cleaning off the salt deposits on the car.

We still have to wash and detail cars for a living. We have the garage to do the detailing and steam cleaning but still have to wash them outside before we pull them in.

This was taken a few days ago. It was around 5 degrees F. Take note the icing on the car as were trying to wash/powerwash it off.

One trick I tried and it seemed to help was to mix a little windsheild washer antifreeze in the car wash soap mixture. This helped to keep it from freezing long enough to get a bit of a scrub in before it iced over. The WW antifreeze doesnt hurt the paint.
