  • Anyone had a Stoner Glass Reach Tool?

Has anyone tried this tool? http://www.autodetailingsolutions.ne...ass-kit-1.html

I tried the as seen on TV version of it and the handle was great and did make reaching every inch of the glass a breeze. The problem with it was the MF bonnets that came with the version I got are horrible. I think they're made of cheap MF because no matter what I use it leaves streaks.

I like the ease of use, but the streaks are unacceptable. This makes me want to try this one, but I don't want to buy it if I'm going to have the same issues with this one.

I have used the one you have, from the "Seen it on TV" store. If you use better quality MF, it makes a world of difference.
There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

I picked one up at my local auto zone and only paid $15 and It works best for me just as a final wipe and I use Megs ultimate micro bonnet.

I have not personally used one, but I just spoke with a gentleman from Texas yesterday who swears it's the best thing since sliced bread.

No, but I sure do want to get one. I will probably get the Griots Garage one though.

I am almost positive that any one you find in the stores will have terrible MF Bonnets. I am not sure if I want to velcro my own onto a cheap one, or spend some money.

Yep. I have it. But dont quite favor the bonnets that came with it. So I retrofit the ADS glass towel (love this stuff) to fit the tool's head.

i use it and really like it. I use the all purpose to scrub then switch off to the MF for the last swipe. Usually i hit it with a MF hand towel afterwards to ensur streak free. use it with the Stoners invisible glass of course

I use it with the bonets it came with, and Meg's NXT glass cleaner. I only get streaks if the window is REALLY dirty. The solution for me was to just wash them a few more times and it came out totally clear and streak free. Also make sure to not overload the cloth or window with cleaner, you might get streaks if you use too much. It also came with a terry and a mesh bonet that I haven't used yet.

This tool is great, if the one I have were to break or go missing, I definitely get another. It makes it really easy to clean the front and rear windows, inside and out. I got mine online, but I think I saw them at Target too.

I have it and love it as well. It's really tough to get the back glass in my 8th gen Accord but had no problem using this tool. I've cut to fit and sewn elastic into some quality microfibers and that makes all of the difference. I could see it not working as well if the windows hadn't been cleaned in some time or were coated in tar (smoking car).

I have been on the fence on this item. After reading this posts. I think I will pass for now. Maybe the next generation will have better bonnets.

Actually strike my last comment about sewing bonnets. I attempted to do that but am nowhere near the skill level with a sewing machine that it requires. But! A strike of genius! I found some self-adhesive pieces of velcro (the coarse side) and stuck them to the back of the tool. I can use a full size MF. The felt backing of the front of the tool also helps keep it in place. When the MF gets dirty, detach from velcro, move to another corner, keep going. Great results! Love it! The triangle tip is so good for getting into the edges of glass where it meets dash trim. This is a tough area for me, sometimes I get some protectant overspray, end up smearing it around before I put on glass cleaner, it's a disaster. Love this tool so far. Will post any cons if I find them.
