What polish would you folks recommend for applying on top of #16? I'm looking to add a little "zip" to the finish which is in nearly perfect shape. I use a PC fequently.
I reach for #81 Hand Polish all the time. Great easy to use polish that shines a BC/CC VERY well. But I always seal the shine of a polish in with a wax never over the top. From what I understand is just a polish alone, the shine that is will only last a few days unless its sealed in with a wax.
If you want to add some more zip to the results you have already created, besides the #81 Hand Polish, you might also consider a thin coat of the new Gold Class or #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax.
How about a picture of what you're working on?

Hey Mike, here's my '03 TL-s. Nice thing about the Aegean Blue paint is you don't see many on the road. (Was available only with the S-Type).
Currently I have #16 over P21s GEPC. I like that combo.
Before that I took out the fine line scratches with Pinnacle's new Sirwl Remover. Easy to work with. I'll have to admit that I haven't used any of the Meguiars swirl & scratch removers, with the exception of Scratch-X for isolated scratches.
So, would #81 give a little more pizzaz to the paint ? I don't know how much extra zip I can add to the paint but I have to try!
This photo doesn't do justice to the work I've put into. This baby really shines in the sun, which we haven't had to much of here in NJ lately!

The #81 Hand Polish, like all Meguiar's pure polishes will tend to add richness and gloss to medium to dark colors as well as black paint.
Neither P21S or #16 Professional Paste Wax will darken, or add richness to a previously polished surface. They will add a lot of gloss, but they won't build on or add to the results created by a quality pure polish.
I have the P21S paint cleaner and it works a lot like Meguiar's mild paint cleaners like the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, which also contains polishing oils. I'll guess that the GEPC improved the look of your car's finish by making the clear coat more clear and adding richness, (or darkening the paint).
My recommendation? If you like the look of the #16 or the P21S but want to take your car's finish to an even higher level, then any of the below four products will increase depth, reflectivity, richness and gloss.
NXT Tech Wax
#26 Hi Tech Yellow Wax
Gold Class Wax
#81 Hand Polish
This is all very easy to demonstrate on black paint, the ultimate test of any product.
Hope this helps...

Acura TLs tend have to have middle of the road colors so when I decided on a new 03 I just had to have the Aegean Blue, or as I like to call it "electric blue". I tend to like bolder colors.
In the sun it simply glows. I take great satisfaction in keeping it looking its best. I guess it's part of the "obsession" we all have!
