I'm not sure if anybody here has any ideas why...but QD is leaving me with this cloudy/swirly finish. I've tried several microfiber towels, so it wasn't a bad towel.
Re: Quick Detailer is not giving me a clean finish
Any of our mist & wipe products, and virtually all mist & wipe products from other manufacturers as well, will work best on a well waxed surface. Keep in mind the product is not designed to be a wax or wax substitute, so using them on a surface that isn't well prepped can lead to some issues. It is a bit surprising how often we hear people say how much they love this product but then go on to describe it as the ONLY thing they use on their paint. They always look a bit surprised when we tell them what the product is actually designed for! In fact, if you wax your car regularly you'll find QD, UQD, etc will wipe off extremely easily, and that when wipe off starts to become a little difficult, that's a sure sign it's time to wax again.
Beyond that, if your towel starts to get saturated with product then it won't dry the product fully off the surface and some streaking may occur. Over use of product, or using the product in very cool temps can do the same thing. This time of year here in SoCal you'll find early morning and evening temps getting into the high 40's and that can make wipe off a bit more difficult sometimes. Especially if your wax has degraded, or if you just haven't waxed at all.

I have seen the difference on this myself. I hadn't waxed the car in awhile due to weather and when I would apply a QD, it would take a little work to wipe it off.
Well, this weekend the weather was nice and I was able to wash, clay. polish with 205 and apply 7 & 26 to my car. I noticed today when I used QD that it came off almost as soon as towel touched it, ie hardly had to wipe.
Re: Quick Detailer is not giving me a clean finish
Agree with Mike, Me and my dad use UQD all the time on our show cars every weekend when we pull out come the UQD. Never have a problem with haze as these cars are waxed at least every other week. I have noticed using it on a daily driver it is much harder to get off use lightly though, or you will have a really hard time. I dont know if its intended to use in direct sun but when were at the grounds for car shows and its sunny and hot UQD tends to dry and remove much easier.
Re: Quick Detailer is not giving me a clean finish
From what I am led to believe, Southern Cal has a climate like I do in Sydney but drier. I find the QD and UQD a bit temp sensitive. I get astonishing results (great) with an easy wipe at 70F+, below that, good result but only two MF approach = spray, wipe with MF 1, then a quick light buff with MF2
Re: Quick Detailer is not giving me a clean finish
hopefully someone can help me out so bare with me. I got a black truck that i just finished giving a full detail to last week. The truck is new so the process went like this pre-wax cleaner, synthetic wax, and last a carnauba wax. It looked awesome to say the least. So we got a good rain yesterday and i decided to clean it up. I wiped it down with a QD and a moist MF then went back with a QW and wiped it up with a dry MF. The thing is it left a haze but i noticed if i swipe my finger through a haze spot that the haze disappears. The haze isnt in the paint or the clear so what could i use to diminish the haze without having to do the 3 step process again. Any thoughts guys?
Re: Quick Detailer is not giving me a clean finish
I was using the UQD before i did the QW. I really dont wanna give it a wash. Maybe i will give it a once over with the UQD. Its suppose to be cloudy for a couple days so the lack of those uv rays should keep the haze dormant.
