    Pinstriping...!!!

    Soo yeah im alive. Just havent been around in ages.
    Got a new set of wheels..
    02 F250 Super Duty with the 7.3 Diesel.. aka indestructible tank.

    Anyway hope everyones good!

    I have this nasty white pinstriping that goes around the whole truck... im guessing i'll have to tape over it while doing anything but washing it and pretty much gotta live with it or somehow get it off. Any tips? Its not the nicest looking thing i wouldnt mind parting with it.

    Heres the beast:
    02 Ford F250 Super Duty
    International T444E 7.3L Diesel
    Not exactly stock...laundry list of mods.

    Any close up of the striping?

    Can tell what sort of stripe it is? Probably a vinyl stripe, on top of the paint?

    Can probably be removed like other graphics, but you might have fading now, and may have a 2-tone red stripe around the truck instead.

    They are usually ok to wax along by hand, not across it catching the edges.

      as murr said, the paint is possibly slightly faded, but I got mine off when the car was still new with a hairdryer, and a plastic scraper. It worked better than expected.
      A Pontiac is a Chevy with better trim.

        Yeah I dont mind leaving it just have to give it the care it needs. I just picked up the truck in October and havent done much to it yet... dont got much extra time here.

              Well that's good - less drastic measures to remove that. I just had to remove a full-length fancy PAINTED pin stripe from a 2009 Escalade.

              It's a bit nerve racking to say the least - but it came out flawless

                I have 2 small painted pinstripes down both sides of my car, can I just detail normally by hand or DA, or do i need to cover them with tape?
