Re: Opinion on my detail "system"

Thanks man, really appreciate it. I kinda had the same routine right in my head I just wanted to be real sure. Seems I have a few products that do the same damn thing 105, 205, 83. Think I need to research a bit more before clicking "Buy Now" in future.

    Thanks fella

Well, some do the same thing, but at different strengths.

Like #105/UC are similar but stronger than #205/SwirlX, which are similar. So out of each pair, you would want to have one of the two.

"Trailer-queen" show-cars often dont wax after glaze, but they dont care if the glaze washes off a few days later in the first rain or wash, but "Daily-drivers" need that wax (2 coats, of course). Even if waxed, show-cars typically will add a short-term (days) coat of glaze on the very top for a show, but of course that top glaze wont last.

For us regular real-world folks, the glaze is after all the cleaning/prep and before the wax(s). After the full process, you can just wash and spray wax, or wash and re-wax, you typically dont re-glaze until you do a re-clay/cleaner detailing. If you think your wax has worn down and you are not going to do a re-detail, you can certainly re-glaze before a re-wax (it will never hurt and sometimes helps).
How long usually glaze #7 topped with nxt 2.0 last, say in normal condition and once a week wash?

It should last for months since it is under and protected by the wax. I wash and spray-wax touchup weekly, and maybe rewax every month or two. I do a full detail, including clay and cleaner, every spring and fall and that is when I re-glaze. If you have not clayed nor used cleaner, your glaze should still be OK.

During the summer, on especially nice weekend mornings, I may wash and glaze and re-wax just-for-the-heck-of-it since I enjoy the process. A little glaze never hurts, and makes me feel good (even if it is not necessary).

Yeah. My car is still beading water, and it hasnt been waxed since before Thanksgiving. And it is parked outside 24/7.
