Detailing Assistance....Where to Start??

Hi Everyone,

Well I just purchased my dream car, a brand new 2010 Black BMW M3 Sedan over the weekend. I had an absolute blast detailing her

This is what I've done so far. What I would like is anyone's feedback as to what I should do next or if I'm doing anything wrong, let me know!

Here was my detail order:
Dawn Wash
Clay
Wash
Step 1 Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
Show car glaze 7

I also have the High Tech wax 26 that I was going to apply after the 7, but my arms felt like they were going to fall off

I want to use the best Meguiars product as possible. Let me know what else I can do The towels I use to dry the car are 100% cotton made in the USA. I'll spend the $$$$ if need be!

I'd recommend switching to a good microfiber towel rather then using the cotton, especially to remove products.

Apply all of those product _very_ thin. You don't need a thick coat... it's only more difficult to remove.

Thank you for the advice on the towel when removing product. Why do you say it's better to use microfiber towel when removing product rather than 100% cotton towel? I'm sure if I'm just drying the car its okay to use cotton towel?

I will make sure to use just a very thin coat.

Random question, but is the wax or the polish suppose to go on first? Reason why I ask is because I don't know if I've gone out of order with regards to what I've done so far. I've been doing some research on this forms, and from what I can tell I need to get a coat of that M 26 on there. I was going to do that, but my arms felt like jello.

Your order is good, the wax should go on last. No more Dawn washes of course....

As far as towels... 100% cotton should be safe, but you will likely see better performance from MF towels, like the Water Magnet for Drying, or Supreme Shines ,etc for removing product.
