Does anyone use tyre black (the old paint on stuff)? I am pretty dissapointed at the resuly of the type foam/shines etc. and am thinking that maybe a shot od typre black and regular follow up with the Meguire's products would do the trick. Am I off the wall? Any comments...

Re: Tire black
what type of look are you looking for on the tires ? i think you need to try another product than just hot shine..are you looking for the darkest black look possible with high gloss ? then perhaps you should try NXT Insane Shine, Endurance High Gloss, All Season Dressing, Or even Hyper Dressing...check this link out right here...

Re: Tire black
I haven't used the tire black paint in about 40 years. I always hated that stuff. It gives the tires an "artificial" look. Anyway I started experimenting with the silicon sprays back in the 60's and usually could keep my tires looking black. There were no tire products other than Westley's Bleache White at that time. I now use Adam's VRT and find it does the best job for me. It is a water based product and puts a nice matte finish on the tires.

Re: Tire black
I'm in Australia with a limited selection available.. no Adams stuff. Also post 911 very hard to get liquids shipped internationally to an individual. As I own a black car, a dark look with shine is what I am after. The insane shine looks attractive (to me). I will have a look in the local retailers.
